Great food, friendly service, relaxing atmosphere
Thin-crust authentic Italian pizza with interesting toppings like the “Salmone” (mozzarella cheese, smoked salmon & cream sauce), “Prosciutto Funghi” (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, cooked Italian ham & mushrooms), and “Capricciosa” (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, artichoke, prosciutto, anchovies & mushrooms). The negative reviews on this site are the opinions of the individual authors, but they certainly don’t represent the experience I’ve had at La Pizzeria on many visits.

The Best Pizza in Silicon Valley
Now THIS is pizza. No “cardboard” or chewy / gummy crust. La Pizzeria’s crust is thin and tasty. In the traditional Italian style, you’ll find several toppings per pizza. Standard size is approximately the same as a take-out “medium” size. The salads are great, especially the Ceasar. Panini is good too but I come here for the pizza and that’s all I’m interested in. The toppings are creative and fresh and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Margherita
This is the “basic,” no-frills traditional Italian Pizza, the “Margherita.” But what a pizza it is…fresh mozarella kissed with basil on the bed of La Pizzeria’s home made sauce and thin crust. Start with this one, you won’t be disappointed.

Pizza topped with bad service
Too bad I can’t give this place zero stars.
As the other reviewers have stated, the service here was atrocious. I’m just so sorry that I even suggested this place. I will not come back here. I wouldn’t even get their pizza to-go.
I recommend Pizza Antica or Amici’s for thin crust pizza in the bay area.

Pizza with attitude
I couldn’t have written a better review than what shaomai has already said in her review. I was part of her dinner party and I too was truly disappointed by the service. I felt unwelcome here from the moment I sat down. Our waitress served us nothing but her stuffy attitude the entire night. She made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her and displayed an utter disinterest to our needs.
Anyways, you can read shaomai’s complete review for all the gory details. I’ll just give my emphatic 1 star of disapproval.
I would’ve given the food alone 3 stars, but the service will keep me away from this little pizzeria. We left a menuism card with the bill ;) Hopefully they check out the reviews and correct their ways.

Medicore pizza, TERRIBLE service!!!!!
Even though the pizza wasn’t terrible, I will never come here again because the service was some of the worst I’ve ever had!!! Here’s everything that went wrong:
1). We had a party of 9. They sat us at a table that could comfortably seat 12, but they set the 9 place settings in such a way that there were 4 empty seats at the end, and a crowded table of 3 at one end. Why??? For a place where the pizzas are about 12” round, they should know better than to expect that 3 people eating 3 12” pizzas could fit on the tiny end table.
2) We knew 2 people were going to show up later, so when the waitress came around to ask if the others were still on their way, we said, yes, but we’d like to go ahead and order now. She said, “oh, ok,” and LEFT. And didn’t come back. We had to wait another 15 minutes before we were able to flag her down again!!!
3) A member of our party ordered a pizza with prosciutto and asked for some extra prosciutto. The waitress asked, “ham?” orderer: “prosciutto” waitress: “ham?” orderer: “um, yes.” (he, being seated at the end of the table, couldn’t really hear her very well and just assumed she knew what he was talking about. no, the waitress did not come around to every person to take their order, but stood there at the end of the long, 12 person table and had us all yell our orders down to her.) but no, they are in fact different ingredients at this restaurant… and my friend ended up with ham instead of prosciutto. :P
4) A member of our party ordered a bloody mary. Ten minutes after we placed our order, the store manager came around and informed us that they can’t make bloody marys. What fully stocked bar can’t make a bloody mary?
5)The pizzas came out and they were uncut. This is customary for this restaurant… but why??? By the time we all finished cutting our pizzas with the provided fork and steak knife, the pizzas were already half cold.
6) I could deal with all of the above, but this is the straw that broke the camel’s back—we were obviously there to celebrate a birthday. There was a big party of us, there were presents, and someone brought homemade cupcakes to celebrate. About 20 minutes after we finished our dinner we broke out the cupcakes, lit a candle, and sang a quick happy birthday. The store manager then came around to inform us that they do have a dessert menu and no outside food was to be permitted. Gee, maybe it would have been nice to be OFFERED that dessert menu. And since we were obviously celebrating a birthday, it might’ve also been nice if they brought out FREE dessert for the birthday boy. But no, none of this happened, we only got scolded for bringing cupcakes. And he still didn’t offer us a dessert menu.
This may be the worst service I’ve ever had. To top it off, the pizzas weren’t even that great—the crusts were soggy, having to cut the pizza yourself was time consuming and a bother, and the ham and mushroom pizza (cotti funghi) i got lacked flavor.
I highly recommend NOT coming here. Go to Pizza Antica instead. They are way, way, way better.
