an experience.
i’d been dying to try clarke’s just so i could claim those scene points. so i dragged my friend there after a night of dancing at berlin right down the street. we went at 3 in the morning on a friday and the place was packed.
it was clean enough but, as i was warned before i went, the service is pretty bad. our waitress seemed to have way too much on her hands; she brought out my friend’s food about 5 minutes before mine came. when we ordered dessert, she ran by and slammed the slice of cake down on our table without a word. and then forgot to put it on our bill.
seriously, what are you supposed to make of that?
Dishes I tried:
Mozzarella Sticks
So delicious. Exactly the way they should be. The downside? There were only 5 of them, and the accompanying tomato sauce was cold.
Cheese Burrito
I ordered it without sour cream or lettuce, but little could I guess what came out – a tiny, tiny burrito with only cheese and tomato in it. What? Clarke’s, I may be drunk, but I am no fool. That is not a burrito.
Carrot Cake
Not terrible, not exceptional. The icing was overly sweet.
