A Sure Thing in Horse Country
If the Cobb’s Mill Inn were any more charming, it’d look like Disneyland. However, this charm is doled out with restraint and class. The service here is superb.
A good friend and I typically share the steak and the lamb chops. The flavor just explodes! Seafood lovers should not miss the half-shell Blue Point oysters – they’re always pristine. The attention to detail here is disarming. The prices aren’t unreasonable, either. The lovliest time to see the water fall is when it’s ice-laden in winter (and the smell of the working fireplaces fills the air). This is a well-run, eclectic dining experience; Italian favorites are side-by-side Asian Fusion delicacies. But it works. To come here once is to fall in love with this out-of-the-way spot in-between Branchville and Westport.
