Trendy, but not pretentious. Yummy food
Place was packed at 8 PM on a Monday night. Arrived ten minutes early, was seated right away. Very friendly wait staff. Ambience is great. Perfect noise level for a conversation without needing to bow heads.
Drink menu had some interesting concoctions. I had the Persephone Slip (gin, pomegranate juice and a bit of lemon juice) which tasted like a variation of a Cosmopolitan.
Service was attentive, but missed details (i.e. took flatware away with each finished course, and didn’t replace the forks or spoons and didn’t continue to refill our wine glasses from the bottle).
Food would bring me back though. The bone marrow had me digging into the bone for every last morsel.
Dishes I tried:
Roasted bone marrow
Heaven in a bone.
Pumpkin Ravioli
With Hazelnut, sage, and chanterelles. Perfect flavors, but balance was off. Needed more pumpkin and less ravioli.
Branzino
Perfectly salted and moist. Skin came out with a lovely crisp texture.

Disclaimer: This is only based on one lunch visit. I ordered the side salad and the truffled squash blossom flatbread. Side salad was substantial – half of it was frisee (great, if you’re into that – but it wasn’t too bitter). The flatbread was great! Enjoyed it a lot. Flavorful and relatively light for an entree. Shared some desserts with my party. The mango panna cotta was a big disappointment. The panna cotta was like yogurt – in taste and texture (not firm). (If you have ever had TJ’s organic vanilla bean yogurt, stay home and have one or 7 of those.) The cobbler was ok – not particularly memorable to me. The cheese plate didn’t make it down to me. But I don’t think I’m qualified to review cheese anyway.
