the steamed garlic fish fillet is very tasty and is served with copious amounts of chopped garlic and scallions on top. get it with the shrimp fried rice. it is a good companion with the fish and not too greasy. the fried seafood is decent and would be better with a homemade tartar sauce. theirs tastes jarred. the oysters on the half shell were fresh, the cocktail sauce was good with a mexican twist and was obviously house made, but the saltines at the table were stale.

next time i will try some of their grilled/broiled items such as the shrimp scampi or shrimp/fish ranchera, or the fried whole tilapia.

all in all, the steamed garlic fish is worth coming back for and the prices are very good. this place is a dive across from the farmers market and a little sliver of mexico.
