| Summary: Frosted windows hide the elegant-but-funky interior of this approachable, tiny wine bar where mod fabric discs adorn green walls and brown suede banquettes line the perimeter. A small plates menu, crafted by TRU vet Philipp Vitti, showcases vino-friendly bites, such as lobster and chile seviche with grapefruit. Tableside-shaken, fresh fruit martinis are an alternative to the small but smart wine list. VIP-level service adds a touch of romance to the experience, a fact that's furthered by conversationally friendly, DJ-spun beats. | ||

Connoisseur, Chicago's Newest Premier Boutique Restaurant and Wine Bar
January 11, 2008
Where everyone is a VIP!
Wednesday, January 9th; I celebrated my birthday at Connoisseur. From the moment we arrive, the staff made us feel like we had been patrons for 20 years. Imaging a roving martini bar that makes your martini right at your table. Gerald Lott, one of the owners actually took the time to get to know his visitors and welcomed us back anytime
Dishes I tried:

great place
What a great place! cozy and conversational, you feel like you don’t want to leave. Fabulous wines, tasty appetizers, to die for desserts and did I mention the fresh fruit martinis! Great music, great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out whether its with a date or a small group of friends.
