Mediocre Chinese food. Nothing really horrible, but nothing really fabulous either. My girlfriend gorged on the all-you-can-eat crab legs, so if you like crab that’s probably a big draw. I’d probably rate it a bit higher if it weren’t for the long, long wait to get seated. If you go there when there’s no crowd it’s probably fine, but the food isn’t worth standing around for 30-45 minutes.

I just returned from a HORRIBLE dinner at this place. After biting into a tart, I had to spit it out because it tasted sour and stale. After looking closely at it, I saw MOLD on the tart. I do not speak Chinese, but luckily, my friends do so they helped me talk to the cashier and cooks. In between talking to everyone, they would stop and translate for me.
When we told the cashier, he tried to tell us that they don’t make the tarts and that they are delivered from an outside bakery. He also told us that this wasn’t the first time that this happened. My friend asked when the tarts were delivered. He said they were delivered the previous day. Even if this were true, it takes DAYS for mold to develop. Also, they are also the ones serving the food, so it is their responsibility to maintain its quality. Also, if this isn’t the first time that this has happened, why is it still happening?!!
The cashier then offered us a $2 discount from our $80-something meal (It costs $15 per person for dinner). He said that there was nothing that he could do. He said that we could call the health department or the police but we still had to pay for my meal. Who says that?
My friends and I told him that this wasn’t good enough. He called some other guy over who said that he could only offer us a 50% ($7.50) discount off my meal. Then some other lady came by and tried telling my friend to try to persuade me to just pay for the meal. She gave my friend some bull about Chinese people having to stick together because it is so hard for Asians to make a living. Please, I’m Asian too, even though I don’t speak Chinese. And is discounting a $15 meal seriously going to put them all on the streets? Come on, they give FREE meals to people on their birthdays. And they can’t discount a meal to a customer that found MOLD in the food?!
We had to deal with them for almost half an hour before they agreed to deduct my meal cost. In the middle of all of this, some other man came by and complained that no one bussed his table the entire time he was eating. It was 8:00pm on a Thursday night! How did they not manage to clean this man’s table?
Summary: BAD food and WORSE customer service. I am contacting the health department.
