I smell like curry

Being a curry house, the Curry house serves lots of curry. It also smells like curry and you shall too if you visit it. On the good side, it’s not as strong as Korean BBQ smell.

I came on a Friday night thinking who goes to Curry House for their Friday night dinner – apparently a decent number of people. We had to wait about 20 min to get a table. That was ok thought since it took me even longer to decide which curry I was going to have. The cool thing is you can order any dish and add on all kinds of stuff…like katsu! So I got the deep friend shrimp curry plate with katsu on the side. Man that was a lot of food and I was very satisfied afterwards.

The service is good, but they were a bit slow with the check.

Dishes I tried:

Deluxe Fried Shrimp Curry

It’s rice pilaf wrapped in an egg omelette served with curry and 3 fried shrimp on top. Weird? Yes!! Tasty? Pretty good especially when you get a side of katsu :P

Think of a fried donut ball. Then put curry ground meat in it. That’s the curry pan.

interesting curry house

The Curry House serves pretty good Japanese curry. You get a choice of how hot you want the curry, though I got the spicy curry, and it wasn’t very spicy. It is a unusual place because it attempts to serve American foods with some of the Japanese entrees. For example, you can get a curry dish with spaghetti instead of rice. Some of the menu items have absolutely nothing to do with curry or Japanese. The biggest gripe about this place though, is that the food cost too much in my opinion for curry. Overall, the food is solid, but the prices are too high and the restaurant serves a strange fusion of Japanese and American.

I don’t think the curry was bad nor was it excellent. i even had one particular japanese friend of mine told me it was “horrible.” perhaps it was just that particular day.

People tend to like going to that place because the waitress’ are usually ‘cute’ (just a random fact, haha). i have to agree with the other reviewer that this curry house gives a ‘homey’ feeling.

There isn’t a lot of places you can really order japanese style curry. I would rather go to the Mitsuwa’s food court and order curry there.
