Since this place is opened and when I'm in...
Since this place is opened and when I’m in town, I’ve probably eaten at this place every other weekend. I think my parents have a tab with them. The dim sum is always good. If you go at 11ish, the place is packed so try going a little later. For dinner, they’re even better. They have interesting versions of traditional Chinese dishes like Shark’s Fin Soup in a Papaya shell. The only downside is that its pretty easy to rack up a humongous dinner bill with them since you’ll want to order everything.
Dim Sum Anyone?
Mayflower and Joy Luck Place are probably my top 2 places to go for dim sum in the south bay. Advantages of going to Mayflower is that the place is bigger, so possibly less of a wait (which is always an issue at Joy Luck Place especially on the weekends). Another advantage is that the service is slightly friendlier at Mayflower.. well, as far as asian service goes. You might actually get a smile out of someone here.
Bottomline, you won’t go wrong here as far as taste and variety of dim sum.
