It’s really a shabu shabu place hidden in an American ’50s type of cafe. The choice is simple, all-you-can eat shabu shabu with or without all-you-can drink sake and beer. While not necessarily trendy, the crowd is typically young. Service is adequate but seating space is not. It gets a bit stuffy in their so make sure you can take off some layers. This should definitely be one of your first stops if you want shabu shabu in San Francisco.
Heed this advice...
If you go for the all-you-can-eat shabu shabu and all-you-can-drink sake and beer:
Pace yourself and make sure you eat before drinking
The drinks come fast but you’d be wise to control your early pace. It’s not a sprint! Slow down and enjoy the food for a few minutes ;)
Believe me…and John.
Enjoy!

All-you-can-eat Shabu Shabu (Japanese Hot Pot)
Literally beef, beef, and more beef than you can ever want. I think there’s a plate of veggies too. The peanut sauce is awesome – it’s like liquid peanut butter.
great for large groups
I’ve been here twice in groups of about 12 and 6 and both times we’ve had an absolute blast. It’s basically a hot pot place except the only meat they have is high quality beef. The best part is that for an extra $10 you can make your all-you-can-eat meal an all-you-can-drink meal also! It’s good stuff too – house sake (warm and cold) as well as beers such as Sapporo, Asahi, and TsingTao. Highly recommended!
