Best Pizza in Baton Rouge- Best Jukebox, too!
I’ve been going to Fleur-de-Lis on Government St. for 40 years, and it remains the best pizza dive ever. The rectangular pizzas are outstanding- try the “Round the World” with anchovies (and everything else) and a cold beer or four. It’s cramped, usually crowded, and slow- and worth every minute of the wait. The jukebox is fantastic- full of great classics. I recommend playing “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” several times, and having a great evening of unpretentious fun.

Out of This World Pizza
Fleur de Lis restaurant, in midcity Baton Rouge is the most delicious pizza of its kind. I love this pizza for many reasons, one of them being that just one bite sends my taste buds into a spiraling ecstasy. Another is nostalgic appeal. The old, pink building is humble, yet admirable and distinct. Inside is reminiscent of a New Orleans hole-in-the-wall bar, with tables nearly kissing each other. No credit cards accepted here, just cash. So make sure you hit the ATM beforehand.
GREAT TO GO! ORDER HALF-BAKED!
