Poggio, from the Italian translation for 'a special hillside place', offers seasonal Italian cuisine. The daily-changing seasonal menu features locally grown ingredients and items from the large display wood-fired rotisserie and grill and wood-roasting oven.

Poggio is a excellent Italian restaurant on...
Poggio is a excellent Italian restaurant on the 1st floor of the Casa Madrona Hotel in Sausalito. The Pappardelle while a little dry, was still good. Portions are a little smaller than Picco up the freeway.
Ambiance here is almost second to none. It is a long restaurant so each table is not too far away from a window. Sitting outside is also a plus to soak up the ambiance.
