the tourist place - but worth it.
okay.. so we had to come eat when we visited. we NEEDED the boston clam chowder.. we CRAVED those oysters and lobster, and we were glad we came. even on a weeknight, the wait was super long. this place seems to be packed regularly. we should have called ahead but figured it wouldnt be too bad on a weeknight.. right?

America's Oldest Restaurant
America’s oldest running restaurant since 1826, Union Oyster House is a must go at least once when in Boston. Sure you can have better seafood at other restaurants, but nothing can beat eating at this historic place – where else can you sit at an oyster bar that Daniel Webster ate at regularly?!?

Very very fresh and flavorful. I loved their horseradish sauce that complemented the oysters very well.
