Nothing special here (I’ve eaten too much dim sum I think), but it is a cut above most Dim Sum places out there. They tend to have more selection than some other places. Dinner is also pretty much standard Cantonese food that is a cut above most other places. Kinda weird eating in there since I think it used to be retail space or an office building.
A Christmas miracle!
After our poor dinner on Christmas Eve, this place (literally a place, its in the name!) was a delight. Although much pricier than dim sum i’m used to in wonderful southern california. Most of the dim sum was delicious, and it seemed like we just kept adding more and more dishes (we even added one after we already paid the bill, so had to add some more money). The main food that i use to judge dim sum, bbq pork pastry and baked bbq pork bun, were absolutely fantastic. The sauce in the bbq was sweet and different than normal. The pastry-ness of the bbqp pork pastry was perfect. Also, not so normal dishes, such as this strange combination of shrimp and pastry (we called a chinese shrimp pot pie), and chicken bun were also delicious, as well as unique. I suggest eating here for quality dim sum in the bay area.
-
BBQ Pork Pastry
Flaky, buttery, and delicious!
-
Baked BBQ Pork Bun
My favorite dish here. Stuffed with a ton of good meat.
-
Shrimp Har Gow
Can’t really go wrong with this dish, its a mainstay.
-
Shrimp Pie
A flaky pastry on bottom, shrimp and some other meat in the middle, and a smaller flaky pastry on the way top.
-
Chinese Broccoli
Better than other chinese broccoli i’ve eaten, but i can’t give it more than three because i never found the taste overall too savory.
