It’s decent. I loved the decor and atmosphere there. The food – just okay. I had the greek wrap and it was a bit too juicy. And unfortunately, they were out of the best desert (according to my friend and all his friends) there that night, so the other one we triehd was just okay. Maybe the ranking will go up if I try different food there.

Drinks and dessert/finger food

Each drink that was made tasted very good. I like my drinks more on the stiff side and this place made it that way. The waitress was very friendly and had good recommendations. My friends and I tried everything on the signature martini menu and some from the other parts of the menu. We had the crab art dip and choc souffle.

My follow-up review for this restaurant. Read my previous review for this restaurant here

Lots of dip and the chips were veery crunchy.

I like how after you eat the exterior and move closer into the core of the chocolate souffle, the center of the souffle will gush more chocolate out each slice you take off. It’s very rich and tasty. I enjoyed this cake much much more than the one from black bottle! =D

food

Like someone else mentioned, it’s a high end hooters. I came here for lunch with a couple friends and food presentation is nice, the drinks are expensive paying 8 dollars for a cranberry juice.

The setting is more of a business casual style.

high-end Hooters :)

This was my first time there. I sat at the lounge area for drinks and dinner. It was evening time on a week day and thus was very business-y downtown Bellevue. The place is very polished and is pretty much a high-end hooters (just describing it as it is. :)) If you sit at the lounge when you go there I’m sure you’ll see what I mean.

I guess in downtown Bellevue you can’t expect anything too down-to-earth but if I’m in that area, I’d much prefer Z’tejas, or even Manzana, or shooting pool at the Parlor while having dinner.

Great dining option in downtown Bellevue

I’m not sure exactly when this Joey’s opened, but I’m sure glad it did – it’s a huge improvement over the Cucina Cucina that used to occupy this spot.

I had no expectations arriving for the first time, and needless to say I was pleased with what I found – rich, dark decor, pleasant and personable waitstaff, and tasty food for a reasonable price. The bar area always seems totally packed, so people seem to like Joey’s for more than just the food.

I was happy with the food and service, and I’ll definite come back here again.

What I ate:

Fantastic! Large portions of chicken and vegetables in a rich curry sauce. There was even enough for leftovers!

A welcome addition to Bellevue's restaurants

Yum, I love Joey’s. I like the ambiance, I like the drinks (they make a proper bellini that would make Vancouver’s Milestones proud), I like the food, I like the pretty serving staff and I like the prices.

The only thing I don’t like is the wait, but if you plan your visit strategically, you can minimize waiting time.

What I ate:
  • *****

Massive portions that come with 2 giant slices of naan. This was like 2 entrees in 1 and tasted authentic and not too overwhelmingly buttery.

  • *****

So many Seattle establishments don’t know how to make a proper bellini, but Joey’s does. It goes down fast but I enjoyed every sip of it.
