solid chinese food
This place is hard to notice when just walking by, since it is hidden and on the second floor of a building. It is a pretty standard Chinese restaurant, with nothing spectacular that I tried, but all pretty decent. They have a 3 for $15 deal, where you can order 3 dishes for that price. That is pretty nice for college students craving Chinese. The dishes don’t come with a huge amount of food, but it is passable. The food itself is alright, but not the best. It does have all the usual suspects, and has some dumplings. A good place to go for Chinese in Berkeley overall, since it is hard to find a place that has decent seating and good food near campus.

Steamed Red Bean Bun
It was good, moist bread, and the red bean was good, but not enough taste in my opinion to the red bean.
-
Pork Meatball
This dish was probably one of the better ones. Comes with the standard three. It also has some light Chinese vegetables to go with the sauce.
-
Mongolian Beef
Nothing remarkable about this dish.
-
Orange Chicken
It wasn’t that bready, which is good, but it wasn’t crispy at all. Meat could have been better and the sauce wasn’t the best.
-
shao long bao
This dumpling is filled with a broth like sauce or something. It is always delicious.
-
Beef with Broccoli
Straightforward Chinese dish.
