Want expensive, good quality non-traditional...
Want expensive, good quality non-traditional sushi? This is your place. Sushi melts in your mouth. But for about $10 and up per roll, it’s not for everyone. I went there with 2 other girls and our bill came up to about 35 bucks per person for four (or was it three?) rolls of sushi. Still good stuff though!
As for the place itself, it’s loud. I think I was half-screaming most of the time. Not a good place for conversations. =T
sushi with flair
if you’re looking for high-quality, well-prepared sushi served in a hip/trendy setting (i came here for dinner and felt like i was surrounded by beautiful people), give sushi wabi a try. the decor is minimalist/stark at best, but the sushi tastes fresh and the rolls are prepared w/flair & style…not your typical (boring) standard rolls.
the only drawback of eating here is the price, which is on the high side (for me). i think there are other places in the city that offer good sushi at cheaper prices (check out oysy).
oh, and try sitting at the sushi bar – we asked our sushi chef for a ‘one-of-a-kind’ roll, and he just made up a special roll on the spot for our group – it was delicious!
