Chicago is known for their collection of breakfast places, and Original Pancake House is one you shouldn’t miss. Come for the sweets, not the savories. There are plenty of waffle and pancake options to pick from. Come early though, the place closes around 2:00pm.

The Apple Pancake is the classic Sunday breakfast item at the OPH. If you have not been/tried this delicacy you are missing out.

Apple Pancakes
Best Pancake ever. Bar none. This German style baked pancake resembles a mound of fresh apple slices glazed in sugar/cinnamon. The dough is slightly more dense than your average pancake. It’s delicious. I’d guess it probably weights two pounds. This 2000+ calorie monster is definitely splittable so bring some friends.

Tradition at the Pancake House
A long time favorite breakfast place. It’s located on the lower level of a high rise apartment building which lends a comforting feeling to breakfast.
