great lunch specials!
i’ve only been here once for a weekday lunch, and i got their $6 lunch special which turned out to be a pretty awesome deal. a thin slab of grilled pork (or whatever meat you prefer), w/beans, a fried plaintain, steamed white rice and a “salad”. not too bad for $6. the pork was dry, but w/all the other side dishes i couldn’t complain.
as for the other dishes on the menu, they seemed much more pricey ($13 to +$20 range). service was friendly, but we were one of 4 parties at the place when i went.

3.5 stars. the pork wasn’t anything spectacular, and actually dry, but it was spiced and had that tasty grill flavor. the plaintain was sweet and delicious, the beans were surprisingly irresistible, and even the steamed rice seemed to have a little zing to it.
