cheap thai!

after reading mostly positive reviews on multiple sites, i finally had a chance to catch a late dinner here. the prices were definitely lower than what i’m accustomed to, but i thought my noodle dish was just alright. there’s another location near where i live in the south loop , and i might give it a try again to check out their curries…seeing as how it’s fairly cheap.

given the low prices, i was rather surprised to find a very cozy and homey interior w/dark-wood paneling, making it feel warm, casual, and very enjoyable.

oh, and as the previous reviewer noted, street parking wasn’t difficult to find on western.

    this is usually the noodle dish i always get at any thai place, so i’ve tried my fair share of pad see iew. sadly, wasn’t quite as spectacular as i was hoping, and i probably wouldn’t order it again here.

4 Stars because I only tried a few of...

4 Stars because I only tried a few of their dishes, but every single one (that I can recall) has been delicious. I had a late dinner here last night with my sis’ and we had chicken pad thai and no. 61, a fried rice dish topped with ground meat (we had beef) w/ basil. Both were sooo good! I’d recommend it. It’s good Thai food and cheap. They have a location in Wilmette but I’ve never been there, prices are a dollar or so higher. I like the Western location because there’s usually plenty of street parking.
