what a fabulous deal!
after reading moonbm27’s positive review, i decided to give deleece’s mon & tues $20 prix fixe menu a try and i’m so happy i did. (included is an appetizer + entree + dessert.) i left with a thoroughly satisfied tummy and a strong desire to return again…next time with some more friends in tow.
deleece has a cute sidewalk patio where you can enjoy chicago’s beautiful weather without too much of the crazy hustle & bustle you can get with some downtown restaurants.
the service was friendly and professional, and the parking is predominantly permit required, but you can ask the host for a permit.
as for the food, i have to agree with moonbm27 in that they don’t skimp on the portions, and the presentation is creative, fun, and classy. what i also enjoyed is the laid-back, casual nature of deleece.
i’d highly recommend checking out deleece for their excellent prixe fix deal – it’s unbeatable.

black bean and corn soup
absolutely delicious! you get a nice ample serving of a black bean-y, semi-hearty soup with subtle infused flavors. a winner in my book.
-
grilled porkchop
for pork, amazingly tender and juicy. you get a handsome serving size of pork chop sitting on a mound of mashed-chunky sweet potatoes and a bed of strongly seasoned pan-fried spinach. i enjoyed this pork chop very much!
-
bread pudding
holy cow this was a huge serving. comes with 3 slices of chocolate chip banana bread soaked in sweet goodness. i wouldn’t have been able to finish this on my own if it weren’t for my date’s help.
-
new york strip steak
so juicy, flavorful, and excellent with the guacamole and over easy egg it comes with. whoever thought of that combo – ingenius! i think i might have enjoyed this dish more than my own pork chops.

Best Pre-fix menu deal! Big bang for your buck!
Deleece has the best 20 dollar pre-fix meal deal! I was a bit wary about this place at first since my friend’s friend had come here for dinner once and did not give a good review. However, I figured if it was only 20 dollars for a three course pre-fix meal, hopefully I would at least like one of the courses. I mean you can’t get a good entree for only $20 now a days much less three of them! First off, everything on the menu looked great – it took me forever to decide on the entree but I finally settled on the chicken. I thought that being a pre-fix menu, the portions would be a little bit smaller but Deleece does not skimp on the portions at all! My friend and I left Deleece very happy and very very full! I am looking forward to my next Deleece experience!

Chicken
I was expected a little chicken breast with a bit of goat cheese and blueberries on the side, what they laid down in front of me was definitely not what I was expecting – it was a whole half of a rostisseri chicken – roasted to perfection with a little sweet glaze settled atop a blueberry and goat cheese balsamic salad. It was mouthwatering and awesome! The chicken was tender and melted in your mouth.
-
grilled porkchop
My friend got the porkchops , they were thick porkchops, grilled just the way I like it – medium rare so it was still very juicy and not dry at all! The wilted spinach salad and sweet tostones (plantains) complemented the porkchops.
-
double chocolate pudding
This double chocolate pudding is rich and decadent. Definitely not your old school pudding – it is so rich, it was like eating fudge out a parfait cup – topped with fresh cream and a shortbread cookie, even though I was stuffed, I couldn’t let this pudding go to waste! I ate the entire thing!
