I don’t think Daniel’s dinners are anything exceptional (except, perhaps, exceptionally over-priced), but their appetizers are fabulous. And the best way to enjoy them is at happy hour – Daniel’s Broiler has one of the best happy hours in the area.
Running from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM seven days a week, you can get many of their fabulous appetizers – including seared ahi tuna, steamed clams, teriyaki beef tips, fried artichoke hearts, popcorn shrimp, and Daniel’s signature BBQ prawns – at half off. Combine two or three of these appetizers with a glass of house wine (around $3.50) or a beer (around $3.00), and you can have a fabulous meal for not-too-much-cash, especially given the regular menu prices. You can also order off the full menu in the bar.
It’s usually packed, so come early to get a table. All three Daniel’s locations offer a good atmosphere – my favorite is the Leschi one because it is empty and, on a nice summer day you can sit outside on the deck and enjoy the views of Lake Washington.
