5.0First of all, the owners, managers and service help are impeccable. This well-olive-oiled machine is is one place in Boston you do not want to skip! And one thing you must do at least once is sit at the wonderful Chef’s table and watch the cooks in the open kitchen. It is similar to Hell’s Kitchen but without the screaming! :-) This restaraunt is gourmet dining without the pretenciousness. When it comes to the food itself, your money is always well spent. I have been to this restaurant numerous times and have NEVER had one bad thing. Favorties are the truffle macaroni and cheese, short ribs, veal milanese, tomato basil soup and ANY steak they have.
A must-have when you’re there. Share with someone as an appetizer! I’m serious when I say that EVERYTHING at Davio’s is incredibly delicious.

5.0I haven’t dined in the new location . . . only the old Newbury St. location. When I lived in town, Davio’s was a regular stop. It didn’t hurt that I worked around the block. :)
The seafood dishes are expertly prepared. It was nice to have such good Italian without traveling to the North End. I recall Fra Diavolo being something I liked there.
