A sure bet!

I like to come to this place to explore different dishes, this place always has a way to bring something different to the table even with the most common dishes like orange beef, kung pao chicken, etc. I completely agree with the review by foodisgood here. They are able to make the food their own by adding some nuances in food, which is always a nice surprise! The restaurant is also very clean and nice ambiance. AND it’s Zagat rated!

I was in China for 1.5 months 2 years ago and have been longing for great Shanghaiese food ever since. The food at Shanghai gate does not disappoint. The choices are interesting and different from what you’ll find in Chinatown, and the flavors are incredibly vibrant. I can’t wait to go back for more!
