OK I have only lived in the area for aout 8 years now. Anyone who lives here who doesn’t know what or where Mike’s stand is needs to learn quick. Ok so it’s a seasonal hamburger stand with no inside seating. Some of my favorite dishes are the cheeseburger & fries with a milkshake, or a pint of whole belly fried clams & fries with a milkshake or the fried fish sandwich & fries with a milkshake.
They offer so much more than just hamburgers, hot dogs, and fried seafood too, including lots of Ice cream flavors from Hershey.
Ok so you’re not going to find a chef’s salad or Caesar salad or any kind of salad whatsoever, but if you want good, freshly prepared “fast food” and like to eat outside at a picnic table in the shade, Mike’s is your best bet for at least a 20 mile radius from Putnam. Waiting 5-10 minutes for your order to be prepared just makes that much more satisfying when they call your order number over the speaker…
ok, first thing that makes this at least 1000% better than McDonald’s BK, Wendy’s, Jack in the crack, Roy Rogers, Sonic etc….
they grill the bun on a flat top grill.
Second, they use fresh beef and make their own patties always fresh never frozen.
Third, they have 3 fryers and change one every day so no frialator grease ever sees more than 3 days of use. I know the owner and can attest to this.
Lastly, no matter what you order, it’s so fresh it shouldn’t matter that it costs a dollar more than a Micky’s or BK “Value meal” of pre-cooked, prefab, institutional, preserative laden foodstuffs.

Good stand to take your family in the summertime. Summertime grill-like menu and ice cream for desert. Wouldn't go all the time, but defiantly a must to do 2-3 times over the summer.
These dishes from the Deary Brothers Mike's Stand menu are contributed by Menuism users directly, as part of a restaurant review, or as part of an image upload.
