4.0This small town Tex-Mex restaurant is popular with folks from around the Wise, Parker and Tarrant Counties area! Thin, crisp corn tortilla chips with two types of hot sauce (moderate or hot), made my lunch delish! The cheese enchilada plate is large, and offered with your choice of queso OR ranchero sauce .The enchiladas are pure Tex Mex: Soft, melted cheddar in a tender corn tortilla, no onions lurk in your enchilada, waiting for the unsuspecting onion-phobe! You can ask for onions and peppers on the side, and the crew will happily accomodate you… The tortilla soup served with rice is only offered on Wednesday, but worth the wait. The service is generally okay (like most small town establishments-no better, no worse), and meals are usually ready in 5-10 minutes. My takeout lunch today was a cheese enchilada dinner (includes a generous serving of chips and salsa) for a total of $6.48. My biggest complaint is that the soft drinks are served from plastic bottles that you pour into a large glass with ice. I just prefer the crisp, bubbly drinks from soda fountains, with free refills, because one doesn’t want to run out of liquid when eating good Mexican food!
