Great food and service

Appetizers: 4/5 | Mains: 4.5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Ambiance: 4/5 | Overall: 4.5/5

We went to Joe Fortes last year for a business lunch on a tight schedule and informed the waiter of this as we were seated. Dishes were brought on quickly and the service was professional.

Food

Jumbo tiger prawn cocktail appetizer was delicious. The same can’t be said for the calamari which was good but nothing special. I had the cedar planked wild salmon—the glaze was just perfect. The wine pairing was right on.

Service

Service was attentive yet non-intrusive. They made sure we were right on schedule. Outstanding service.

What I ate:
  • *****

Highlight of the appetizers. Fresh, juicy, gigantic prawns.

  • ***

The calamari was good but was expecting better for a seafood restaurant of this caliber.

  • ****

Loved it. Matched perfectly with the wine recommended to me.

Extras:
I came here for
a business meeting
My meal cost
between $25 and $50
I tipped
between 15% to 18%
