From the Restaurant

La Morra, opened in late December 2003 by husband and wife team, Jennifer and Josh Ziskin, serves traditional Northern Italian cuisine, with a seasonal menu that revolves around a wood grill for preparing meats, local fish and locally farmed vegetables. La Morra gives Brookline a taste of Italy. Enjoy cicchetti (Venetian style tapas), a nightly prezzo fisso menu served in the style of a traditional Italian meal with antipasto, primo, secondo and dolce for $35, or savor the Chef/Owner Josh Ziskin's delicious Italian cuisine from the a la carte menu.

Excellent food – I ate there during Restaurant Week 2007 – had a 4 course meal. The lasagna is fabulous – beschemel sauce, very rich, tasty meat. Also had a great blue fish dish.
