Delicious! I had the Smoked Salmon Sandwich, and it was great! Had the Banana and Hazelnut Crepe and the Choco-Pop Hot Chocolate – MMMM GOOD!! I can’t wait to go back for the Fondue!! The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 Stars is the price – a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it!!

dinner was actually quite decent despite the heavy focus on dessert. service was slow but justifiable due to a crowded saturday. max brenner does a fantastic job in satisfying anyone with a sweet tooth. the chocolate fondue was serious and no joke.

Chocolatey small portions cool porcelains creepy bald man pricey. I had the chocolate suckao which they claim is the chocolate equivalent of an espresso (whereas hot chocolate is the chocolate equivalent of cappuccino) but it’s basically like drinking a fondue. Oh the fancy crepe thing I ate was pretty good also. I’m not sure why the travel channel thinks so highly of this place. It’s not bad… It’s different, but not spectacular. It’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to Charlie’s chocolate factory.

If you love chocolate, you get to try this. I ordered the milk hot chocolate, it’s not too sweet and it’s just perfect. Me and my friend ordered a chocolate sample, and guess what, every little dish is just fantastic. I especially love the chocolate fondue. You can tell they use high cocoa chocolate, make it perfectly rich. Yummo. Chocolate out for a few days after…hahahah

went to the one on 9th street and 2nd. hug mugs! cutest idea ever. chocolate granita is sooo refreshing on a hot day and the banana split waffles are a great dessert. brunch is very filling. and it has free wifi. can’t get better than this, especially for a chocoholic like me!

I went when it first opened. I ordered a white hot chocolate with a hint of rose. It was tasty, and the chocolate shot was pretty interesting too. It was literally a store filled with every single kind of chocolate, and of course, I d suggest going there for dessert only, the entrees were small and unsatisfying. Plus, waiting time might be annoying.
Go for the Chocolate
This is a desert restaurant. Sandwiches and such are offered for those who can’t stand to eat desert first and last. The chocolate is undeniably good. Since I really don’t have such a sweet-tooth, I cannot give a restaurant that claims to serve dinner anywhere near full marks.
When we went, the place was really loud. I don’t see how one can get into the sensual pleasure of chocolate when your aural sense is being assualted by such tumult. They also had no liquor license, so we didn’t try any interesting cocktails. Don’t go out of your way for this.
I would definitely stop in if I was around the East Village or NYU and felt a desire for hot chocolate – that was pretty much exquisite.
-
Asparugus French Toast
Quite tasty and not entirely bad for the price, but it certainly wasn’t anything special.
-
Sharing (tasting for two)
A little orgy of treats. Way more than enough for two people. There were five of us and everybody had a satisfactory taste.
-
Mom's Morning Bagel
Certainly a treat, but more of a soothing sweet than ecstasy of a chocolate fondue.
-
Suckao - a concentrated chocolate shot
This is just melting some high-quality chocolate with a little milk-froth and drinking it with a straw: it’s awesome!
