Best Italian in Lakeway!
This is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant that still exudes that close, ‘everybody knows your name’ atmosphere while still maintaining a elegant, yet warm, dining ambiance.
Where do I start? My husband and I always ask for Tommy — his knowledge of Italian wines is extensive and he has always made the best recommendations for our meals. Everything from the bread basket — love the thin bread stick the best — to their main dishes — and homemade desserts is tops. Ciola’s has a full bar and a wide variety of wines by the glass. Love their Steak Margherita, Steak Wahib, and the Saltimboca, but their Veal dish is the best item on the menu (I think!). For dessert, love their cannoli, but all of it is good — haven’t had anything that I wouldn’t have again.

Veal Rollatini
Never had a dish quite like this. It is a tender veal roll stuffed with spinach and prosciutto, topped with a marsala wine sauce, mixed with artichokes, and served over pasta. So amazingly good — I think it’s the best item on the menu, even though I’ve tried all of Ciolo’s other classics and specials. I always go back to the Veal Rollatini. There’s a lot served – so you can share or take home. It’s just as good warmed the next day.
