From the Restaurant
A beautiful and elegant restaurant/lounge that brings a South Beach-atmosphere to the heart of Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood. A rooftop deck (tented in the winter) and patio are complemented with lush landscaping and a sophisticated design. On the main floor, garage-style doors and floor-to-ceiling windows open, bringing the outside in. The diverse menu offers options for a variety of palates. The décor is romantic yet playful, with warm touches throughout.

Trendy. Ok food.
Came here on a Thursday because they give out 1000 OpenTable points for slow days and boy was it slow. When we got there we were the only ones in the restaurant…granted it was 6:30 on a Thurs and the snow was frozen on the ground outside.
The ambience is very trendy with some bright colors and nice couch seating along the side. It’s an open room so there’s not a huge amount of privacy but there was a cool patio that I imagine is pretty nice in the summer.
The food was good, somewhat interesting, but not fantastic. I may come back with a group or for more OpenTable points but not just for the food.
Parking is a bit tough since it’s mostly permit parking so plan on circling for a while or check to see if they have valet parking on the day you go.

Baked Cheese
2 baked puff pastries filled with gouda. Pretty tasty and even better with the honey and dates it came with on the side. I’m a big fan of cheese.
-
Scottish Salmon
The salmon wasn’t the moistest I’ve had, but I liked the flaky crust. The potato pancakes, while salty, tasted good with the salmon.

Banana Me, Sue
Banana-y for sure, it reminded me of a banana cream pie. Not tiramisu enough for me. But at least I got some fruit in my system.
