Quick server, nice view, okay quality of food, long waits.
Well, I have been to Top Gun about a dozen times now with friends and family. If you are not there at the exact opening time, you can face a 30 to 45 minute wait. Unfortunately, there is limit space to sit and wait. However, once you get in, the food comes really fast. That’s because it is an assembly-line in their kitchen. You place your order and within minutes your dishes begin to arrive. The only thing with this type of operations, there is really no quality control on the flavour/taste of the food. I find alot of their coatings, sauces are very bland. And the Seafood and Oyster motoyaki have no flavour what so ever. I guess if you are looking for easily made Sushi and Sashimi it is ideal. But not if you are looking for good quality , great tasting.

Top Gun Sushi... Great place for large groups
The ambience in this place is amazing.. situated on top of New Westminster Quay. Service is really good. This is an all you can eat type of menu. . The restaurant is Huge, boasting a amazing view of the now flooding fraser river. The ika karagge is pretty decent, the spicy tuna roll is pretty good.. My one downside to this place is that they charge an extra 2$ for the all you can eat sashimi. and if 1 person on the table gets it the entire table must pay the extra 2 dollors.
They also have a small self serve salad bar featuring kimchi potato salad ?!? and some other pretty useless items i would say…
All in all, I do frequent this place quite a bit, but i guess i just have a grudge about that extra charge for the sashimi..
