My boyfriend and I would eat at El Mexicano occasionally. Recently we each ordered a carne asada entree to go. In the past, the carne asada dish was made up of the following: skirt steak, yellow rice with black beans, salsa, pico de gallo and guacamole. When we ordered it this last time it was some cheap cut of beef with white rice and brown beans with chuncks of pork fat in it. The nachos supreme we ordered had no meat in it, unless you count the pork fat mixed in with the brown beans. Usually with every meal you get a complimentary serving of plain tortilla chips-not this time. The staff was rude and not very helpful at all. I’m assuming there are new owners, because this place used to be fantastic. Now it seems as though they are serving maybe Dominican or Puerto Rican food and trying to disguise it as Mexican. Guess what? It ain’t workin’.
