I’ve eaten here for 6+ years. I’ve also take a friend from CA who is Guatemalan, we agree, the food is worth coming back. I recommend A2, which is an appetizer. Tortilla chips w/ beef and mint and N2, similiar to style to chicken fajitas but better flavor and smothered in cheese.

YUM!!! I have friends and family who are gluten-free and have major food allergies (my son is allergic to wheat, egg, soy, peanut, tree nuts), and they can have pretty much EVERYTHING on the menu! The wait staff is helpful and so nice, willing to check on ingredients, it’s too good to be true! I have taken family and friends to this Guatemalan restaurant, and everyone raved. It is located on Roscoe St. in Roscoe Village, with plenty of fun stores around for shopping, too. Adventurous and not-so-adventurous eaters will love the food. The nachos appetizers are great and very different, especially the one with the hint of mint, lime and cheese. This restaurant is like nothing I’ve had before. The chile rellenos with cheese will melt in your mouth, and the enchiladas with spinach are delicious. Everyone who has come LOVED the plantains, even those folks who’ve never tried one before! And these are some of the best plantains I’ve had. They have Sangria and Margaritas, and my kids love the horchata. A complimentary bowl of delicious soup is served with your meal. There are plenty of delicious sorbets served in coconut shells or in a pineapple for dessert that are very fun for kids. Great atmosphere for family or a date, or out with friends. I have yet to try the stews, and look forward to it! This is a great little find in Roscoe Village.
