Elephant & Castle

e & c really pushes the pub aspect, which is great if you’re in the mood for cocktails or a wide range of (great) beers, but becomes weird when they write ‘bang on!’ on all their napkins and menus (telling you it means ‘great’ in… english?) i passed up the bangers and shepard’s pie for the burger, which was underwhelming; the boy i was with ordered sweet potato fries with his burger. they were amazing and sent me straight up to sweet potato heaven. too bad e & c charges an extra $2 for them. (since when are sweet potatoes so expensive?) it looks like a nicer restaurant, so why do they have tvs set up all over? i have enough trouble getting my dates to pay attention to me. i don’t need competition.
