You won’t find anything out of the ordinary here—your typical diner fare makes up the menu. If you are looking for a good, hearty breakfast, you’ll leave happy. I tried the sausage biscuits with eggs, and was happy that the eggs were cooked just right. The sausage gravy was very rich, so this dish will fill you up fast. Bit pricey, in my opinion, but there are less expensive options and many to choose from.
Very rich and filling!

If you looking for a hearty all american breakfast look no further than the Freedom Square Diner. Located on the western side of Cranberry you may have difficulty seeing this little gem tucked away behind the big CVS stucture. Don’t let the lines scare you, they move fast like any old time diners. It is not decorated in the old time diner style but more of a modern eatery that is clean, bright and airy. Breakfast is served all day but all day closes early at 8 p.m. The menu is balanced with an extensive choice of breakfast lunch and dinner entres. This is a place to go for that comfort food which we rarely see on a menu, liver and onions, shepherd’s pie, pot roast and roast turkey and most impressively a full array of devonshires, steak, crabcake and the standard turkey. I have to return to re-live the sandwich of my youth!
If you looking for something a little different this is the dish. Three thick slices of moist homemade banana nut bread is very lightly coated in an egg batter and fried to a golden brown served with maple syrup. I enjoyed the light hint of banana and the crunch of the walnuts.
The texture was fairly dense and moist and the portion so large come with a healthy appetite.
What could be more comforting than a large plate with a generous portion of corned beef hash?
The hash was moist and not a bit greasy. Topped with 2 extra large perfectly done poached eggs for dipping your toast. The breakfast was served with a choice of potatoes. I had the home fries which I really did not need since potoates are part of corned beef hash. I really enjoyed this breakfast and would recommend it to anyone who likes corned beef hash.
