I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. First off, the waiter copped a huge, diva-like attitude as he plunked dirty menus on top of our clean plates. It went downhill from there. I ordered a chicken salad, which came out with the most wilted brown lettuce I’ve ever seen on a “fresh” salad and overcooked (reheated) and dry, thin chicken pieces. My wife ordered the guacamole con flautas. Flautas are supposed to be flour tortillas, but what came out was a big bowl of guacamole and 3, count that 3 reheated Costco taquitos (corn tortillas). They were cut in half to make them seem like 6 (another cheat) and even had freezer burn on them! We ate the 9 dollar “flautas” because we were hungry, but I sent the salad back, causing our waiter to cop even more ’tude.

Bottom line, this place is overrated, overpriced reheated frozen food with poor service. I recommend you steer clear. We will.

Galerias presents gourmet food on a limited budget, and they do it with flair. Try the gordita, a flaky pastry filled with cheese and the meat of your choice.

Gourmet tex-mex with a decent authentic Mexican heart. The drinks and food are both good, though sometimes the service can be a bit slow on a quiet night. But they are very friendly and accommodating. The dining room is cozy, bordering on romantic in a post-conquistadorial catholicism sort of way.
