If you like gelato, you must check this place out. They have the most extensive and unique selection of flavors that I’ve ever seen. On top of that, they offer most flavors in both regular and a low/non-fat version. I don’t believe in low/non-fat ice cream or gelato so I haven’t tried them, but it’s nice that they offer that for those who prefer less caloric options.

Be sure to sample some of their more unique flavors. My all time favorite is the bosc pear. I could eat that all day. If you’re feeling under the weather or need some energy, try the ace multivitamin flavor.

really, nothing can top gelato in florence, italy, but this place had its perks. they’re totally happy to give you samples — on REAL spoons, which enhances the flavor of your sample AND is environmentally greeny goodness. my nicciola (hazelnut) half was very nutty, though a tad icy. the scharffenberger chocolate side was too … cacao-ish for me.

price was reasonable, and you can even recycle the plastic containers they give you. huzzah for them.

i came here for a late night treat just recently over the weekend, and this place was bustling! (and for good reason.) i totally agree w/the previous reviewer takeru, in that gelateria naia offers some wildly creative & delicious flavors that you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. the prices aren’t too bad either, and the gelato is creamy, rich, and quite good.

bypass gelato milano, and head straight for gelateria naia further down shattuck for an excellent sweet dessert.
