If you're on a romantic date or celebrating a special occasion, try to reserve the famous table 30, a quiet little corner table that offers the best views in the house.
Unlike most of the North End's popular eateries, 5 North Square doesn't offer valet service. Your best bet is to look for parking in the financial district (try around Broad St.) and then walk about 10 minutes.
Don't be surprised if you end up doing a little stargazing. The restaurant is popular with visiting athletes, as well as the occasional celebrity.

Really Delicious Italian Cuisine

This classy and reasonably priced (for fine food in Boston) two level Italian joint has delicious and creative pastas. It is perfect for a romantic date with booths upstairs next to the windows that overlook N Square. It is also good for a family dinner seated beneath the copper tile ceiling, or a more social dinner with friends in the more modern lower level.

The service here was swift without rushing us through our meal, and the food was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. One should definitely stop here

Eggplant Napoleon

In the style of a traditional Napoleon, but an appetizer rather than a dessert, eggplant is layered with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce and baked to make a unique and tasty antipasti.

Lobster Ravioli

These Ravioli are filled with chopped lobster and served with a rich saffron cream sauce topped with more lobster in whole pieces and caviar. A definite delicious meal that takes advantage of the local crustaceans.

Butternut Squash Ravioli

5.0 star rating

Titled deceptively as a vegetarian item, these ravioli are filled with sweet butternut squash and served with a delicately flavored cream sauce featuring wild mushrooms and confit de canard (pieces of seared duck). the flavors work together magically.

Italian-born master chef Marisa Iocco (of Mare) now works there and you have to try some of the small plates of pasta (perfectly al dente)- like the vegan raviolotti, or chittara amatriciana.
