| Summary: Tucked away among the tchochke shops and dim sum palaces of Grant Avenue, this tiny storefront offers an impressive array of Chinese sweets. Glass cases are stocked with sugary vanilla cakes, warm egg custard tarts, flaky pastries filled with curried chicken, and savory barbecue pork buns. But the real specialty here is moon cakes -- these small, traditional desserts come with a variety of fillings, like lotus bean paste, wintermelon or sweet black beans. | ||

Best egg tarts in S.F.
This place has be best egg tarts in San Francisco. There are long lines during Chinese New Year. There’s no way you can miss it. Just look for the only bakery with a long line. The egg tarts come out fresh from the oven. Most people buy a dozen or more at a time.

This place has the BEST egg custard and very good lo po bang. There is always a long line outside for the freshly oven baked egg custards. You must eat them while they’re still hot. The outside is crispy and the egg custard is soft like pudding. They are rather large in size and people who usually go, buy a dozen or so.
