5.0There is nothing fancy about Goode Company BBQ. A small handful of tables inside…picnic tables outside. Fans on high during the summer. Wood piled high out back for the smoker. Lonestar, Shiner, St. Arnold Rootbeer and various other drinks on ice at the beginning of the steam table line. Menu on the wall….plain and simple. The best it can be. Jalapeno sausage, pork ribs, sweet water duck, brisket and other amazing smoked meats. Sides are simple and pure: beans, rice, coleslaw, potato salad, pickles, onions and jalapenos. Pay the lady and go outside to enjoy the best BBQ in Houston city proper. Ribs are always on my plate. Tender but toothsome. You know you are eating meat. Jalapeno sausage is spicy in a good way. Sop up all the sauce with the fresh baked jalapeno bread. Yee Haw, that’s good BBQ!
Tender but toothsome. You know you are eating meat. Smoked to perfection.
