This is by far the best restaurant in Richmond. I have been dining here at least once a week for the last two months and have not come across a disappointing dish yet!! Before the restaurants/hotel recent renovation I would not be caught dead in their old Thirsty Turtle Pub and Grill (give me a drill so I can put it thru my skull). The food then was terrible and selection was less than lame. They sure have come along way since then (surely have a new Chef or something). An advertisement in the Richmond paper caught my eye a few months back and lured me in to give it a chance — to this day I still can’t believe it’s the same place. I’m hooked and happy that I don’t have to travel to Vancouver for a decent restaurant anymore now that there’s one in my own neighbourhood.
The best seat in the house is the fire pit table on the patio or the u-shaped booths.
Must try the Seafood Bouillabaise, Shanghai Noodle, Mussels, Cobb Salad, Alaskan Cod and save room for dessert the mud pie or homemade bread pudding is like heaven (your server may suggest it as a share plate, blah, blah, blah… but you will want your own).
