| Summary: The Scene Eclectic doesn't adequately describe Holy Frijoles' decor. Each location in this chain strives to look different, both from the norm and from the other outlets. Most of the furniture doesn't match. Chili pepper lights adorn the walls, as do funky paintings and scads and scads of orange. The place can get cramped, but the grub makes up for the lack of space. The Food Frijoles' food is some of the best Mexican in Baltimore. Start with crunchy taquitos or mile-high, loaded nachos and work your way toward an enchilada or fajita, both with your choice of filling. As they say, "Everything is vegetarian--unless there's meat in it." The football-size burritos are packed to bursting with your favorite filling, served with perfectly seasoned beans and rice. | ||

They stole from me twice!
I have been here a number of times—the food is good, but twice I’ve paid with my debit card and left a cash tip. Both of those times, the waiter tipped himself/herself on my card in addition to the cash that I left! The first time I spoke with the manager and was lead to believe it was a mix-up and they fixed the problem immediately and it would never happen again. Six months later—happened again. I can assure you it won’t happen a third time because I will NEVER dine here again. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you are interested in being ripped off.

12/13/2009this is a servers doing, not the restaurant. and partially your fault for not writing in “cash” in the spot for the tip and filling out the rest of it. you probably left a sub standard tip and the waiter took a chance that you wouldnt notice and wrote in the difference on what you should have tipped. it could be a case of you being the theif! not tipping a $3 an hour server correctly can cause them to correct your mistake. to solve this problem, tip well and quit beinglazy and fill the rest of the slip out.
