Good food- no fuss, fair prices, Hose Company!
We stumbled upon this place with a flyer in the mail. Since we live nearby we decided to go. This place was at one time a fire station in the 1800’s. (There! now you know the theme.) There is very little on this menu I would not eat. All in all, a very eater friendly menu. Sandwiches made here are a great value! The wait staff are very nice and attentive, The owner himself, is a frequent and friendly face here at the restauraunt. The bar is small but somehow, it holds quite a crowd! not too fancy, not too kitchy. Good and comfy!!!
All the favorites from bar food to seafood. They also have a sunday breakfast buffet that is worth the trip also!!
Dishes I tried:
mussels
Boom! mussels! I like these things! Here the mussels are cooked to perfection “ala mama” style, Red or white sauce.
Now I am a great garlic fan so when I say they’re loaded with garlic, They’re loaded with garlic! The amount of garlic somehow does not overpower the flavor of the mussels which are tender, soft and flavorful!
Chicken parm sandwich
Very good for a very plain sandwich! The sandwich comes with generous amounts of cheese, and marinara. The chubby breasts are breadded and are golden brown and super juicy!
The fries are not skimpy in portion either.
