5.0Il bistro is as classy as Seattle gets. After years of living in L.A. my biggest complaint in Seattle has been that most places are mediocre and over priced, followed by pretentious to the degree that I’d rather not go out.
But Il Bistro is the cure for all of those aversions. In the heart of Pike place market Il Bistro manages to stay tucked away from the noisiness of downtown and all of those just out to impress.
The food is of an impeccable degree. They have a great wine selection, and a full bar with a great whiskey selection. I love that the staff remembers you by name just after one visit, and you can close the bar down while sitting around having your last drink with the owner.
Their menu is great whether it be for a formal dinner or a light snack at the bar. With new chef specials and seasonal entrees you’re never stuck to the same old menu.
