Even though this is a food cart – and has limited seating, this is a favorite restaurant of mine for a number of reasons:
1) The food is very tasty – and to a large extent authentic as well (I hail from north India myself, so I should know).
2) The prices are VERY reasonable. Almost too reasonable – fast-food-esque, if you will. C’mon – a $5 five-course lunch special…yeah!
3) The family who runs the place (mostly the mom and the daughter – the dad is out of the picture now) is very friendly and nice.
4) They are the only place I know of in the metro area that offers a vegan naan. And it’s pretty good!
5) All dishes are available in “mild, medium, and spicy” – which you are asked to specify when ordering. In most cases, you want to go with mild :)
6) The place is vegetarian-only, and most dishes can be made vegan upon request.
It’s more of a naan than a kulcha, but it’s nevertheless very good! fresh baked just when it’s ordered -this is the way food good Indian food should taste!
It’s all vegan – and tastes as good as any other naan you would have had in your life! Fresh made, too – very nice!
