China Garden is probably one of the best places for dim sum in Irvine. It has a good variety of dishes you can order and they are generally all good. It is a rather clean restaurant for a Chinese place, though the seats don’t look the cleanest. The wait can be quite long during the weekends though. It is obvious if the place is busy since you will see crowds of people lounging around outside. At least this way, you can determine whether you still want to eat here or just go somewhere else.

Typically known for its dim-sum, I went there for regular chinese food during dinner time and it wasn’t crowded. The place reminded me of a typical chinese restaurant with nothing fancy to show. The food was also okay. I would recommend going there for a typical dinner, nothing special. Service was quick and friendly!

They have some of the best dim sum in the area. If you go on the weekend, watch out for the crowd. If it’s too crowded you can always check out Sam Woo’s across the street.

i’ve come here for the dim sum several times, and each time it’s been very good. it usually is very crowded during rush hour times, so be prepared to wait.

the inside isn’t anything fancy, but it’s a nice & simple ambience appropriate for a casual family outing. (they have large tables to accomodate big families.)

if you’re looking for dim sum in the central irvine area, give this place a try.

I had dinner here with my auntie as she told me it is one of the better Chinese restaurants south of SGV. She was right. They are known for their dim-sum sadly we were too late, nevertheless, the food was good, service was great and they were friendly.

The restaurant is pretty big, with lots of round tables. Ample parking, it is in a plaza shared with Sam Woo, but dine here at China Garden not there….

We didn’t wait long, probably 5 minutes as there were only two of us.
