I’ve been going to the Italian house for nearly 20 years.
Almost every kid who has gone to Craig (located next door) knows how good the food is there. You’ll see the proof in all the names signed on the walls around the restaurant.
The Gondola sandwiches are always fresh and made with crisp lettuce, fresh meats and cheeses with the sweetest bread you’ll ever have in a sub-type sandwich. That same bread is used for the cinnamon and the garlic breads, too. I know people who order just the bread sometimes!
My favorite dish served at the Italian House is the Chicken Alfredo! The sauce is creamy and not too much, the pasta is always done just right and I like that they use rotini noodles. It grabs that yummy sauce and holds on!
The chicken in the alfredo is juicy and tender and puts the lid on an Alfredo recipe that is the best.
The atmosphere is Mom and Pop. Very cozy and a great place to go when you don’t want to deal with a big crowd. Well, If you go after the lunch rush from Craig that is. LOL! The restaurant is clean, the people are friendly and the service is always good. If you haven’t been there yet, I suggest you go! There’s something for any appetite there.
The Italian House will be moving to a larger location soon and will feature more seating and a convenient drive through window! Italian House does catering, as well. My workplace regularly brings in Gondolas, pasta and that wonderful bread… beats a sack lunch any day.
