YAR! There be fresh fish 'ere at IVARS!
I took a group of colleagues here for lunch on Friday 5/16/07. Simply excellent service, food, and atmosphere. The remodeled seating area is only about 2-3 years old and offers a great view of ferries and Puget Sound. You can read about the storm that destroyed the seating area and the voyage of the “lucky wooden fish.” Everything is very clean.
The food and entrees were well prepared and very fresh. A fancy lunch and pricey, but excellently executed!
Dishes I tried:
Chef's Lunch Special- Grilled NW Ling Cod
Succulent, moist and flavorful grilled ling cod with a raspberry balsalmic sauce. Garlic mashed taters and steamed asparagus as sides – perfect!

Perfection and atmosphere
My wife and I met a friend and his wife here for dinner. The entire experience was beyond belief. The atmosphere was prefect, the service was impeccable and the food was to die for. The look and feel of the restaurant is very comfortable and well done, the serving staff was always there and unobtrusive.
Dishes I tried:
Pecan encrusted Alaskan Halibut
Indescribable. Sweet and flaky, cooked to perfection and served with a medley of vegetables.

Ivar's Mukilteo Landing wins #1 spot with us
This is our favorite restaurant of all time. NO ONE does fish like they do. If you want perfectly executed seafood, service, ambiance and view, hands down, this is the place to go. We have even made friends with much of the wait staff! They have a great happy hour. We always find ourselves going out here time and time again and have never been disappointed. I’ve had some pretty euphoric moments with the steelhead dinner they served!
Outstanding!
