Tips:

Ivar's has a tiny lot next door, a much bigger one across the street and free roadside parking.
Boaters can pull up to the dock and join the throngs, but be warned--on busy weekends, it's hard to find a spot.
Happy hour runs nightly, 3:30pm-6:30pm and 9pm-close. Specials change frequently, but expect to see deals on both food and drinks.
A takeout window in the front serves fried fish and shrimp in a hurry, with outdoor seating.
The waterfront seating is ideal for canine companions.

Great brunch, great views

Ivar’s Salmon House is known for its brunch buffet, and it does it very well. The experience of a high-quality (but informal) brunch buffet somewhat clashes with the ambiance of the huge restaurant itself, which is built out of an large old Indian loghouse, complete with Indian artifacts and lessons on the walls. I’m not saying the decor was bad, but I just didn’t expect it to go with such great food.

The restaurant overlooks Lake Union, and I bet this would be a fantastic weekend brunch spot on a sunny summer morning. I’ll definitely be back for that.

Pricey, but the quality of their brunch buffet is very good, ranging from the traditional omelettes to huge chocolate-covered strawberries.

Ivars seafood

I have been to this place many times and seeing how seafood to me is the best thing since running water…I LOVE it. To me, ya just can’t go wrong coming here!
I have probly had just about everything on their menu (over time, of course) and I absolutley love it all.

Sunday Brunch...so so.

Crowed, service very good, more seafood items (fish) was expected but not provided. Won't do the Sunday Brunch again. But, their everyday menu items are usually very good.
